Bike Wreckers is committed to making our website accessible to as many people as possible, including those with disabilities. We want everyone to be able to browse, find parts and place orders with ease, regardless of how they access the web.

We aim to meet recognised accessibility best practice and to make reasonable adjustments in line with our duties under the Equality Act 2010.

1. Our standard

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, the internationally recognised standard for web accessibility. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, hearing, motor and cognitive impairments.

2. What we do to support accessibility

We try to ensure that our website:

• provides text alternatives for meaningful images and part photographs;
• can be navigated using a keyboard as well as a mouse;
• maintains sufficient colour contrast between text and background;
• uses headings and structure that work with screen readers;
• allows text to be resized without loss of content or function;
• is responsive, so it works on phones, tablets and computers.

3. Known limitations

We are continually working to improve accessibility, and some areas may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.2 AA. Known or possible limitations include:

• Some older product photographs may lack descriptive alt text;
• Some PDF documents may not be fully accessible;
• Third-party content such as embedded maps or payment widgets may not meet the same standard.

5. Alternative ways to buy

If you are unable to complete a purchase online, we are happy to take your order and answer fitment questions by phone or email during our normal opening hours: 9 am – 5 pm, Monday to Friday.

We assess the accessibility of our website by manual checks, keyboard testing, and automated tools such as WAVE or Lighthouse.
