Returns Policy

Last updated: 20 June 2026

At Bike Wreckers we want you to be happy with your purchase. This policy explains your right to cancel and return items, and how refunds work. It applies to purchases made directly through our website. (Purchases made through eBay are also covered by eBay's own returns process.)

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

1. Our 30-day returns promise

You may return most items within 30 days of receiving them for a refund or exchange, even if you have simply changed your mind. This 30-day window is a goodwill extension beyond the 14-day statutory cancellation period for online purchases — we give you longer.

To qualify for a change-of-mind return, the item must be:

For change-of-mind returns, you are responsible for the cost of return postage unless we agree otherwise.

2. Your statutory cancellation rights (distance selling)

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, if you are a consumer you have the right to cancel an online order within 14 days of receiving the goods, for any reason, and receive a refund.

Our 30-day promise in section 1 is more generous than this and applies in addition.

3. Faulty, misdescribed or not-as-described items

Used and salvaged parts are sold in good faith and described as accurately as possible, including their condition. However, if an item is faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose, you have stronger rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015:

For faulty or not-as-described items, we will refund your reasonable return postage costs as well as the price you paid.

Please note: a used part showing wear, age or cosmetic marks consistent with its description is not "faulty". If you are unsure whether an item is faulty or simply used, contact us and we will help.

4. Items that may be excluded from change-of-mind returns

For change-of-mind returns only (this does not apply to faulty or not-as-described goods, where your statutory rights always apply), the following may not be returnable:

Where an exclusion applies, it will normally be noted on the product listing.

5. How to return an item

  1. Contact us first at info@bikewreckers.co.uk with your order number and the reason for return. We will confirm the return address and any reference number.
  2. Package the item securely. You are responsible for the item until it reaches us, so we recommend a tracked and insured service for valuable or heavy parts.
  3. Send it to: Bike Wreckers Ltd, 136 Welham Road, Norton, Malton, North Yorkshire, YO17 9DU.
  4. Once we receive and inspect the item, we will process your refund or exchange.

Please do not send items back without contacting us first, as this may delay your refund.
